Dear Warren,
With the convention luncheon now behind us, I take this opportunity to thank you, on behalf of the laboratory, for your work on the stained glass window, and to acknowledge your careful research in ensuring the bamboo theme was botanically correct. The artwork, and the colours and textures of glass, have made for a window of rare beauty. I have to say that delegates appeared more interested in the splender of your window than in the splender of our desserts!
The wisteria window (circa 1986) drew much attention as people wandered around the garden. Many had never seen this vine growing and were intrigued by the multi-twisting branches of our very old wisteria, which unfortunatley was not yet in bloom - but your window was ! Viewed from the outside the colours seem to intensify, and we have always considerd this window to be an intergral, and beuatiful, part of the garden.
We are gratified the luncheon afforded an opportunity for your work to be seen.
Again, our thanks, and our appreciation for having worked under a very pressing time factor.
Sincerely,
Estelle L.
